Elliot LevinLocal 17 Research Director, Elliot Levin, urged workers to band together in his letter to The Oregonian on Nov. 7. The letter was in response to the article 'Job Market Favors the Rich' which reported on the decline of middle class jobs.

"It’s important to recognize that all American workers have the right to fight against this trend in their own workplace by organizing with their fellow employees," said Levin in the letter.

"The Great Recession has placed burdens on Oregonians across all spectrums of the economy, and throughout this time, employees organizing with their coworkers have helped families maintain and advance their positions in an ever-evolving economic landscape."
